Washing

  • After installation, avoid washing your hair for at least 2-3 days.
  • Before washing, brush your hair to remove any tangles.
  • When washing the hair the head must be titled backwards under warm running water and hair extension shampoo should be smoothed onto the hair.
  • Gently massage the scalp with your fingertips, using a downwards zigzag motion ( avoid circular motions as these can cause tangles or matting).
  • The hair should be squeezed gently after shampooing to remove excess moisture and conditioner must be applied to the mid-lengths and ends only, avoiding the roots, this can be left on for five minutes as a treatment.
  • Rinse the hair thoroughly and remove excess water by squeezing the water out and wrap hair in a towel for 10 minutes.
  • Apply Argan Oil to the mid lengths and ends of the damp hair and a wide toothed comb should be used to gently comb through the extensions, working upwards starting at the ends of the hair in sections.
  • Hair should be blow dried on a cool setting with the airflow pointing downwards this gives a shine to the hair.
  • Once all the hair extensions are completely dry apply a small amount of Argan Oil to the ends of the hair extensions and use your loop brush to brush through.

Sleeping

  • To prevent your hair from knotting while you sleep, we suggest that you tie your hair in a loose side plait or ponytail. Hair nets can also be utilised whilst sleeping.
  • Avoid using uncovered elastic bands.
  • The extensions may feel uncomfortable for the first seven days, but this feeling will ease after one or two weeks.
  • We recommend the use of a silk or satin pillowcase if your natural hair gets easily tangled, this type of material helps prevent any knots occurring overnight.
  • Always use a soft pillow to prevent the extensions from digging in the scalp.
  • Never go to bed with your hair extensions damp/wet as mould can grow in that environment.

Speedy drying

  • Dry the roots thoroughly first and then roughly dry the hair with a hair dryer ensuring the end of the hair dryer does not touch the hair.
  • Once the hair is virtually dry use the hair dryer to style or you can use straightening irons to finish.

Blow drying

  • You can also blow-dry your hair extensions by splitting into sections and using either a paddle brush or a very soft round brush. Please be careful not to excessively pull on the roots as this can cause hair loss.
  • Avoid the use of hooded hair dryers as the hair extensions and especially micro ring fusion bonds can get damaged by the excessive heat.
